The World Congress 2023 is now history and marks another highlight in the JCI’s and especially JCI Switzerland’s story.

After the Congress, it’s before the Congress!

Now first of all I wish you a safe trip back to your home country. ✈️

  1. Recovery after the Congress:
    • First things first: Take some time to relax – I know from experience that a week of congress can be quite exhausting. 😌
  2. Planning ahead for the next Congress:
    • Block the dates for the next congress in your calendar now!
  3. Secure your congress ticket early:
    • Buy your congress ticket as soon as possible.
    • You get the longest anticipation. 😊
    • You often save massively with the early-bird price.
    • At the same time, this provides organizers with important planning security and is a crucial point in sponsor acquisition.
The expected number of participants is a key element for sponsors, affecting their decisions and level of engagement – ultimately benefiting us as congress-goers.

Advocate for Congresses

  • Motivate others to explore the congress world and spread the congress virus in your LOM.
  • Share in your LOM, perhaps even in an official talk with other congress attendees, how amazing the last congress was, and encourage those who stayed behind to sign up for a congress.
  • Use emotional elements like photos and videos of events, tours, trainings, and of course, parties – they work wonders.
  • Personally motivate others to accompany you.

Sharing is Caring: Networking & Social Media

  • Share your best photos on social media, considering the positioning on the respective platforms and the target groups.
  • Connect with new acquaintances across different platforms, maintain contact, and stay in virtual exchange.
  • Before visiting another region or country, contact your relevant contacts, plan an LOM visit, or organize a meeting if possible.
  • Don’t forget to update your profile in the intranet with your congress visits – after a few years, it becomes challenging to bring everything together. 😉

Remember the golden rule in networking: Giving is more blessed than receiving.

Use our congresses as a New Member Magnet

  • All organizations are interested in dedicated members.
  • Use your experiences, enthusiasm, and the adventures from the congresses for member recruitment.
  • This asset of regular international events is something only a few associations can offer and makes the Junior Chamber unique.

Personal Development

  • Undoubtedly, you were inspired at the congress on various topics.
  • Utilize the panel discussions and lectures you attended to reflect, apply new knowledge, and broaden your perspective and knowledge.
  • Enhance your personal and professional skills by applying the content and abilities you acquired in the training sessions. 🌟

Personal Contribution

A JCI Congress offers a variety of opportunities for personal involvement.
They all support the Congress and give you an extra opportunity to expand your network and make new friends around the world.

  • Look out for opportunities to volunteer during the congress – from small to large slots, there is always a need for motivated JC’s 😉.
  • Do you have a special knowledge that would be of interest to other members? Apply to be a trainer/facilitator to deliver the training program!
This will allow you to expand your network in a specific area while sharing your experience with others.
  • Become a sponsor!
A congress is a cost-intensive project. The more sponsors, the better the offer for the members.
Take a look at the possibilities if the members of JCI are an interesting target group for you, your company or someone from your network!!!
Or maybe if you simply want to do something good 😉

By the way: This text has been written by Chat GPT as I have been inspired to use this tool more often and in different ways during this congress in some of the interesting training sessions 😉

Wishing you a fantastic time and looking forward to meeting you or seeing you again at one of the next congresses.
